Instead of a complicated keto bread recipe, this breakfast sandwich from Hey Keto Mama gets creative and simple by using spicy pork sausage patties in place of an English muffin or bagel. We aren’t sure what you mean though; our recipe above calls for 2 cups (224g) of almond flour, which is the same measurement you mentioned from the brand you use (112g per 1 cup X 2 cups = 224g). I have a loaf cooling on the counter right now. I couldn’t wait to take a piece of it so I hacked a piece off after 5 minutes and tasted it. I don’t get it, it’s the closest thing to real bread but does’t have any wheat in it! How can the crust taste so good?! I’m on a low carb diet so I have suffered through all sorts of weird tasting bread. This one is chewy, with nooks and crannies for sauces and butter. Mine came out purple, but I think it’s a lovely color. I used the bulk psyllium husk powder at my local health food store.

LOVE this bread. As a pregnant type 1 diabetic, I was looking for something to toast. I’ve tried multiple different recipes from other sites, and the bread is always so crumbly that you can never spread anything on it. This one is AMAZING! I may have to experiment with more water so that it comes out less dense, but soooo happy to prevent blood sugar spikes with future sandwiches. I can even foresee being able to have traditional burgers again (not just wrapped in lettuce). My husband bakes his own “normal” bread, and now I get bread too and its even easier to make than his 🙂


I just want to say that I love your blog and am in love with your brownie recipe!! It’s a godsend and I was just as excited with this recipe as a result. Unfortunately, my bread fell short for some reason..No matter how long I toast it, it’s spongy and moist in the center…I’ve done everything as directed but substituted the butter for coconut oil. I measured it exactly too. Could that be why the bread is awfully wet in the middle or is there another reason? I tasted quite a bit of the psyllium husk as well which was okay..I’m thinking of making it with flax seed next time.
