I’ve done the bread today, I used ultra fine almond flour and didn’t read the warning on the packet that the amounts you shall use are less than fo normal normal almond flour. So the bread came out really dense and a little wet. I did slice it on a food slicer in very thin slices and dried them in the oven which gave great cracker-like bread which is amazing with cheese.

Sigh…..Made it with high hopes and boy did it smell good! Hi John, You could possible try a hand mixer in a bowl instead of the food processor, but I haven’t tried it, so can’t vouch for the results. Most likely the bread would not be as tall because the mixer would completely deflate the first half of the egg whites when you add them to the batter. The second half should be folded so that part will be find. If you try with a bowl and hand mixer, let me know how that goes.

I have been on a low carb keto diet for more than a year. As T2DM my A1C dropped from 9% to 5.4% & I discontinued meds. All my lipids improved even with ample healthy saturated fat. My blood sugar is in the pre-diabetic range. D-ribose raises my blood sugar quite a bit. Test and see what it does for you before committing to taking it. Start testing your blood sugar 1/2 hour after taking the D-ribose and every 1/2 hour for about 2 hours to fully test the effects. If you take it in a liquid on an empty stomach, it can get into your bloodstream pretty fast.
I don’t usually cook making things from scratch. Glad I did this to replace high carb bread! Made my first bread plain this am in microwave using all the ingredients with 1 sub – olive oil no butter. Worked Great! Toasted it and had it with sliced egg, bacon and mayo instead of butter. Nice and firm and the taste, Fabulous! Very satisfying. I just made this keto bread, and it is amazing! It’s better than most bread I’ve tasted! I made mine with bacon, American cheese, Brie, and Camembert (because I wanted to be extra). If you use bacon, cook it to how you normally like it in a seperate pan, as the bacon doesn’t cook much extra while baking. I think I used a little too much butter, but, oh boy, was it nice and moist!

I made the Amazing Bread recipe to the T..and it was half the size of yours, kind of like a loaf of your pumpkin bread (which was also delicious). Before it was cool, I slathered with butter and SF raspberry jam ,,,OMG. I havent had bread in 2 wks and many attempts in the past while low carbing, experimenting, I would love to have a sandwich or toast…. Any advice?

Cheryl, We use beef gelatin in this recipe to act as a binder and add a bit more chewiness to help simulate regular bread.
