I just started keto on dec 1st, im kind of winging it … Im drinking half my body weight in water, not eating at night at all, ive been researching non stop .. Again this goes against everything ive ever known … Yesterday i had bpc for breakfast, 2 eggs,heavy cream, 1/4 c shredded cheese, 1/4 pancetta & half an avocado, for lunch, dinner was 2 small haddock fillets crusted in parmesean with 2 cups of steamed broccoli & a green salad, romaine & cucumbers with 2 tbs poppyseed dressing .. Things i thought that werent keto friendly other websites says are ok.. I just want to do this right, i want to see my weight go in the opposite direction, i would hate to gain !!
Day 4: Grabbing lunch out has been successful thus far. Today was some tilapia, zucchini, and yellow squash, and a kale and tofu side salad. I tossed on half an avocado for good fatty measure. Oh, and I notice that I've lost a pound already, which is definitely just water weight-carbs hold water so limiting them is a surefire way to release some fluid in your body-but nonetheless. Weight loss wasn't my objective, but I doubt I'm alone in thinking, "I'll take it!"

Hard to beat the price here. It is a large bottle of mct oil. I have ordered a few brands and pretty much they are all the same so may as well get a good deal. My one critism on this vels some of the more espensive ones is the lack of any sort of pour spout/ flip up cap, this results in some oil dripping out, getting wasted and, though cosmetic, ruining the label. Easily remedied by using a different container or like an olive oil bottle which are inexpensive and available everywhere (including amazon so hey get one with this order with the money you saved) i guess the lid is probably better for long term storage but i go through the stuff fast enough to not matter.

I like this product a lot. I am on my 2nd bottle now and I'm working on low carb/ketogenic lifestyle. this has helped with keeping me out of energy crash and burns, no jitters, and no headaches. Given the choice of a fat and protein source like meat or a salt and carb rich food like potato chips, we are designed say yes to both. No matter how stuffed we are, the most primal parts of our brain will typically tell us that there is room for more if a novel food source is available. These behaviors were essential for our survival as a species. If we ate reasonably whenever food was available, then we wouldn’t have enough fat or muscle to fuel us when calories were scarce.

A recent randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial found that subjects who received 400 mg garlic powder tablets twice a day lost significantly more fat than the control group. Although there are many confounding variables in this trial, animal studies back up the human findings by providing us with evidence that garlic supplementation can have anti-obesogenic effects (i.e., garlic prevents weight gain) in mice.


Hi, I’m a 35 year old mother of twins toddlers. I have always been around 115 to 125 pounds. Right now I am at 135 pounds and I am desperately trying to loose between 15 to 20 pounds but I have been unable to do so. I exercise regularly. Weights as well as cardio abt 4 to 5 times a week. I have been wanting to get on keto since a while. Please advice me how to get started? I am basically looking for how many grams of fat protein and carbs my body will initially need.
Tallon, these suggestions are meant to be taken one at a time. If you’ve hit a plateau or are struggling with weight loss, you can try to cut back on your protein. If that doesn’t provide results than maybe that wasn’t the culprit..now try cutting back on dairy, see what happens with that. It’s all about finding what works for you. If you cut out everything at once, you’ll never know which one was causing the issue. Hope that makes sense.

So I have tried many things to loose weight and nothing worked, including this. This was a while ago. Then I decided I was not going to eat breakfast anymore, because in order to loose weight, you need to be a little bit hungry. So anyways, I have been doing intermittent fasting (eating at noon and dinner 6-8) and the first day was hard for me but I stuck to it with the help of some lemon water. The next 3 days became easier and easier. Today, I realized I was not at all hungry for dinner and was a little scared, because I didn’t want my metabolism to slow down (I’ve had problems in the past) so I googled up what this means. I saw that it was ketosis and was so excited. When I went to check the ketosis strips, it was actually working and I was so so happy. The fact that I was trying so hard with all of these fancy recipes and eating 3 meals a day frustrated me. I do not count my calories or anything else. I do some excercise for about 30 minutes everyday. For those who are struggling, please please please! Try intermittent fasting if the ketogenic diet isn’t working for you.

When your body goes into ketosis, it will start to produce by-products called ketones. This includes acetone—yes, the same chemical found in nail polish remover, which your body actually naturally makes on its own, according to a 2015 review of research. Because acetone is a smaller molecule, it tends to make its way into your lungs. You still have to cap alcohol. The hallmark of a Mediterranean diet is that drinking red wine socially is thought to be one reason why the diet is so healthy. But women should still stick to one glass, and men two glasses. If you have a history of breast cancer in the family, know that any alcohol consumption raises that risk. I have lost 22 lbs in 6 1/2 weeks started Keto on Feb 27, 2019 and today is April 10, 2019..I lose every other day it seems with a couple times that I gained a lb and then lost it the next day.. I IF every couple days to see how long I can go but i do well with one big meal and a small one .or I have a loaded coffee with butter and heavy cream with Stevia in the morning.. I watch everything I can find to help me and I just happened on this.. My body loves me now that I am putting good food in it.. I have so much energy and feel so good.. I am 65 yrs young and want to live a lot longer only better .. Thanks again…
I just started keto this past week and I am on day 7. I am down 4lbs, but have a long way to go to reach my goal (40lbs). I was wondering about certain foods….are tomatoes/onions okay on a keto diet? I’ve read quite a few conflicting reports that claim you should not eat those while on keto. I’m not very good at tracking macros and calories yet. I’m just trying to stay focused on eating all the right foods. It has been a rough week with brain fog, headaches, fatigue, the works…and barely enough energy to get in any exercise. Still I try. I have two little ones and that tends to take up more of my time. I recently found out that milk is pretty high in carbs and replaced that as well. I was wondering if after your reaching your goal, whether or not I could transition to paleo and still keep the weight off. Do you think that would work? I love fruits and the occassional glass of milk that allows me to make a smoothie haha….I was just wondering, what are your thoughts on this?

Judy Ridgway is an acclaimed food writer and international expert on olive oil. She was the first non-Italian judge to sit on the judging panel of the prestigious Leone d'Oro international awards for olive oil. She travels frequently to the producing regions meeting the growers and tasting the oils along the way. She is also in regular contact with specialist cooking schools, university agricultural departments and research institutes. Previous books featuring olive oil include two editions of Judy Ridgway's Best Olive Oil Buys Round the World and The Olive Oil Companion. She also has extensive experience of national TV and radio.
Olive oil is made by crushing then pressing olives. It has been a staple of the Mediterranean diet for thousands of years. Extra-virgin olive oil comes from the first pressing of ripe olives, and, according to the Ochef website, it has less than 1 percent acid and offers the richest flavor. Virgin olive oil also comes from the first pressing, but can contain as much as 4 percent acid and its taste is slightly less smooth. The labels “light,” and “extra light” you see on bottles of olive oil refer to the color and flavor, not to how many calories or how much fat they contain. All olive oils contain the same number of calories, so choose olive oil based on your taste preferences.
